Stephanie Bert LIAC, CCTP-II

I am a Licensed Independent Addiction Counselor with experience as the former clinical director of two local addiction treatment centers, and I now run my own private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating substance and process addictions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life changes. As a certified somatic therapist and trauma‑informed practitioner, I help clients understand how their experiences show up in both the mind and body, creating space for deeper healing and lasting change. My focus is not on perfection but on helping people build happier, more fulfilling lives and adjust to new circumstances with confidence and support. I bring a grounded, compassionate, and collaborative style to therapy so clients feel safe, understood, and empowered throughout their journey.

TrueNorth's Mission Statement

What to Expect From Therapy

My mission is to provide compassionate, trauma‑informed care that helps individuals, couples, and families create meaningful and lasting change. I am committed to supporting clients as they navigate addictions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions, using approaches that honor both the mind and the body. I believe therapy should empower people to build happier, more fulfilling lives—not through perfection, but through growth, resilience, and self‑understanding. My goal is to offer a safe, grounded space where clients feel seen, supported, and capable of moving toward the life they want.

Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you make the changes that matter most in your life. I integrate somatic therapy, trauma‑informed practices, and evidence‑based approaches to address both emotional patterns and nervous system responses. You can expect a space where you are met with respect, curiosity, and compassion, and where your goals guide the pace and direction of our work. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of the life you want and build practical tools to help you move forward with confidence and clarity. My aim is for therapy to feel grounding, empowering, and genuinely helpful in your day‑to‑day life.

TrueNorth's Values

I value creating a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. My work is rooted in compassion, trauma‑informed care, and a belief that every person has the capacity for meaningful change. I honor the mind–body connection and recognize that healing often requires attention to both emotional experiences and nervous system responses. I value progress over perfection, supporting clients as they navigate addictions, mental health challenges, and life transitions with honesty, courage, and self‑compassion. Above all, I am committed to helping people build happier, more fulfilling lives through authentic connection and collaborative, personalized care.
